Release Notes for 2026

Release 7.18.0 - May 28, 2026

This update brings features aimed at improving school communication, streamlining daily workflows, and enhancing administrative efficiency.

Key improvements include automated emails for FlexTime registration and parent announcements, consolidated Hall Pass error modals, faster Kiosk confirmation screens, and expanded options for tracking student behaviors.

Additionally, updates to weekly summaries, clearer FlexTime period selections, and a new Intercom help link make navigating and managing daily activities smoother for teachers, admins, and families alike.

New Features

FlexTime - Registration Emails

Schools can now send automatic emails to students and/or their parents when a FlexTime period opens up for registration to ensure that students sign up for the required activities.

FlexTime - Dates Appended to Periods in My Tools > Check In and Kiosk

Teachers and admins can now easily select the right FlexTime period during check in if multiple periods have the same name to ensure accuracy in reports.

Community - Send Announcements as Emails to Parents

Schools can now send announcements as emails to parents to keep them informed of important notices.

Behaviors - New Guidance Types

Schools can now categorize their Guidances as one of the following to allow better reporting and trend monitoring:

  1. Academic

  2. Tardy

  3. Behavioral

  4. School Policy

  5. Other

Class Groups - Make Groups with FlexTime Lists

Teachers can now create random class groups using FlexTime lists to ensure participation in FlexTime activities.

Improvements

Help and Support - New link to Intercom

Teachers, staff and admins are now directed to the new Intercom Help menu when they click on the “Help and Support” Button.

Weekly Family Summaries - Emails Going out Saturday Mid Morning

Parent emails for weekly summaries now go out starting at 9am PST Saturday.

Weekly Family Summary Language Changes

The default template for weekly summary emails now uses the word “student” instead of “child” for more inclusive language.

Behaviors - Teacher Date and Time Adjustment

Teachers can now adjust date and time while assigning behaviors in My Class to allow behavior logging for the past incidents.

Kiosk - Updated Hall Pass Confirmation Timing

No more 30-second confirmation screen when a pass is created via Kiosk. This ensures students can move quickly and prevent traffic backups at Kiosks.

Hall Pass - Updated Error Messaging

To ensure greater student visibility and less teacher hassle, error modals now inform students that they have exhausted their limits if they encounter one of the following hall pass restrictions:

  1. Max passes limit

  2. No pass list

  3. One pass list

  4. Two Pass List

Teachers and admins now see an updated error message that stacks multiple restrictions into one message so they don't have to override each error individually.

Release 7.16.0 - March 31, 2026

This update brings anticipated feature updates to FlexTime, such as bulk deleting periods, drag and drop options in groups in My Class, and access to student profiles from the Hall Pass Dashboard.

New Features

Multi-day FlexTime Cloning

A new modal to allow admins to clone FlexTime Periods over a range of dates and days. This is currently behind a closed beta test and will be available to Premium and Plus customers once the beta test has concluded.

Undo a FlexTime Check In

Check in the wrong student by mistake? No problem! Teachers now get a grace period of ~15s to undo a FlexTime Check In if it is processed mistakenly. After a teacher clicks the check-in button for a student, a temporary "Undo" option appears for approximately 15 seconds.

Parent Weekly Email Summaries

Improving the home-school communication, weekly parent summaries are a digest of the week. Sent home weekly to parent emails this digest recounts Hall Passes, Behaviors and more. This feature is available for Plus and Premium customers.

Improvements

Drag and Drop Students Between My Class Class Groups

The My Class feature to create randomly generated groups was handy, but lacked the ability to fine-tune the groups. Teachers can now simply drag and drop students from one group to another after generation.

FlexTime Period Visibility Setting

New settings to specify how many days in advance should teachers and students be able to view the periods. Even if an admin has cloned periods for the next three months, they can set the visibility to "7 days," ensuring students only see what is relevant for the upcoming week.

Located under FlexTime > Settings > Period Visibility, admins can specify exactly how many days in advance a FlexTime period becomes visible to the rest of the school.

Bulk Delete Periods

Admins can now select/multi-select/select all FlexTime periods and delete them in bulk without having to delete each instance individually.

Real-Time Auto Updates on My Class and Hall Pass Dashboards

My Class and the Hall Pass Dashboard now update automatically on any event change without requiring a manual refresh. The dashboard now utilizes an event-based architecture. When a student starts or ends a pass, the change is broadcast instantly. Staff members no longer need to click a "Refresh" button or wait for a page reload to see who is currently in the hallway.

Navigate to Student Profile from Hall Pass Dashboard

Hallway monitors can now click on the student name in the dashboard to directly navigate to the student’s profile. When a staff member stops a student in the hallway, they often need context immediately to make a fair decision. Simply clicking the students name will take them to their student pofile, where their class schedule and other details can be found.

Release 7.15.0 - February 24th, 2026

This update introduces enhanced class management in My Class, automated weekly communication for parents, and improved dashboard persistence for staff.

New Features

My Class At-a-Glance Hall Pass History

Teachers now have immediate visibility into a student's pass activity for the day. When a teacher requests a pass, or when a student's pass has just ended, a brief history of that student's daily passes will be displayed.

In my class, when a student requests a pass, the request icon will show how many passes they have had that day.
