The Minga Platform

Minga serves as a Student Engagement Platform that brings school resources together. Students often download Minga on their personal mobile devices for convenience, ensuring they always have access to their digital Student ID card and other regular campus tools both on and off campus.


Privacy and Tracking

Minga is built with student privacy as a core priority.

  • No location tracking: Minga does not track a student's physical location.

  • No device monitoring: Minga cannot see or track activity on a student's mobile device, such as browsing history or search data.


Data Protection Standards

Minga adheres to strict United States federal and state standards for data collection, storage, and sharing.

  • Collection and Disclosure: Minga never collects unnecessary information. Personal data, including names and email addresses, is never shared with parties outside of your specific school or district.

  • Data Hosting: All data for USA schools is hosted in partnership with Google in Detroit, MI. All replication and backup data remains within the United States.

  • Zero Advertising Policy: Minga never advertises to students and student or school data is never used to target or direct advertising in any way. Ever.


Content Integrity

Minga utilizes a three-step approach to ensure all content posted to the platform is appropriate and safe.

  1. Member Accountability: There are no anonymous accounts on Minga. Every user is represented by their real name, which significantly reduces inappropriate behavior.

  2. AI Filtering and Moderation: The Minga AI Engine automatically scans every post and comment for offensive words, phrases, and emojis. It also blocks content related to bullying, racism, and discrimination in real time.

  3. Reporting and Deleting: Any user can report inappropriate content. Teachers and administrators have the authority to delete content immediately in real time.
