Step-by-step Guide to Setting up Automatic Rostering
Step-by-step Guide to Setting up Automatic Rostering
Identify if your SIS is OneRoster Compatible for a direct connection (e.g., PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Skyward) or requires SFTP (e.g., Aeries, Focus).
For Direct Connection:
Share your API end point, token end point, client ID, and client secret with your Minga contact.
For SFTP Connection:
Log in to the SFTP host provided by Minga using the assigned username and password.
Upload your student and staff data via CSV file.
Confirm the sync is active.
Outcome: Your student and staff data will now populate and update in Minga automatically every 24 hours.

Troubleshooting
Troubleshooting
Issue: The nightly SIS sync failed to update student rosters.
Solution: If the nightly sync fails, first verify that your API credentials or SFTP login information have not expired or changed in your Student Information System. If credentials are correct, check the connection status in your Minga Sync settings. For further assistance, contact the support team at [email protected].
Issue: Minga domains are being blocked even after whitelisting.
Solution: If *.minga.io is whitelisted but access is still restricted, ensure that your firewall is not blocking traffic based on the specific App IDs for the Apple or Google stores. Confirm with your network team that the whitelist changes have propagated across all district access points.
