Enabling student photos adds a layer of visual security to every check-in. When this setting is active, the student's official profile picture will appear prominently on the check-in screen as soon as their ID is scanned or their name is selected.

Navigate to Check In from the main menu.
Click the Reasons tab at the top of the page and select one of the check in reasons to edit, or create a new check in reason.
Scroll to the bottom of the settings list.
Toggle the switch for Show student photo when checking in to ON.
Click the Save button.

Issue: Student photos are not appearing during check-in, even though the setting is on.
Solution: If student photos do not appear during check-in, first verify that the student has a photo uploaded to their profile in the People manager. If the profile has a photo but it still won't display, navigate to Check-In Settings, toggle the Show student photo when checking in setting OFF, click Save, and then toggle it back ON and Save again to refresh the configuration.

The Show student photo when checking in setting applies to all check-in methods, including staff-led check-ins and Kiosk mode. When enabled, the student photo will appear on the screen to confirm a successful check-in regardless of the device being used.
Can I choose to show photos for some check-in reasons but not others?
Currently, the Show student photo when checking in setting is a global toggle for the Check In module. You cannot limit photo display to specific check-in reasons at this time.
