Student Notifications and Points

Minga ensures that Behavior tracking is a transparent process by notifying students immediately of your feedback.

Student Notifications

When you assign a behavior, the student receives a notification on their device. This notification includes:

  • The name of the staff member who assigned it.

  • The specific behavior category (e.g., Excellence or Tardy).

  • Your personalized note explaining the reason.

Points and leaderboards

Students who receive a Praise Behavior can also receive Points (if a point value has been associated to the Behavior). These points are automatically added to their totals on the individual and team student point leaderboards, encouraging healthy competition and positive engagement.

Troubleshooting

Issue: Behavior tools are not visible in My Tools.

Solution: If Behavior Tools are not visible in your My Tools menu, it means they have not been enabled for your account. You must contact your Minga Admin to be enabled to assign behaviors.

Issue: The student did not receive a notification.

Solution: If a student does not see their behavior notification, confirm that you clicked Assign and reached the Done! confirmation screen. Ensure the student has the Minga App installed and notifications enabled on their device.
